Switzerland – Construction work for buildings relating to education and research – BKP 211 Structural Works | Extension of Sports Hall TBS5, Weinfelden

Subject of the Contract: As part of the project, the existing gymnasium will be extended by adding two additional floors for use as a secondary school. The extension will be constructed using timber element construction. The new/extended staircases will be built as double-shell structures in exposed concrete. The two-story extension will include 12 classrooms (one of which will be equipped as a learning space), 7 group rooms, and two staff rooms with a terrace. At the heart of the school, a single-story atrium (open to the outside climate) is designed. Special Conditions: The renovation will take place predominantly during ongoing operations. A complete closure of the gymnasium is only planned for the duration of the timber construction work for the extension Structural Works: Partial Demolition and Dismantling of Existing Installations. Site Facilities Including Construction Fence, Reinforced Concrete Works Mainly Fair-Faced Concrete, Foundation Reinforcements, Waterproofing, Drilling and Cutting of Concrete.
