Germany – Research and development services and related consultancy services – Project "FFMpeg"

The subject of the contract is the open source project ‘FFmpeg’, a collection of software components, programs and libraries used for editing and processing media, media files and media formats, thereby ensuring the smooth functioning of widely-used consumer and professional applications. Within the scope of this contract, specific functions and components are to be systematically analysed and, on this basis, targeted technical developments are to be implemented in order to make the project as a whole more secure and user-friendly in the long term in the public interest.
