Germany – Research and development services and related consultancy services – Project "Sequoia"

The subject of the contract is the ‘Sequoia’ project, an open-source software component comprising a collection of libraries and tools that serves to implement the OpenPGP standard in a compliant manner. ‘OpenPGP’ is used worldwide to ensure the security and authenticity of communications and data between parties. Within the scope of this contract, the previously known vulnerabilities of the component are to be systematically remedied, the component is to be further developed technically, and the existing documentation is to be restructured and revised in a comprehensible manner in order to make “Sequoia” safer, more trustworthy and more sustainable in the public interest.
