The Norwegian Seafood Council works systematically with market insights, market development, market stand-by and reputation building in selected markets around the world. The Norwegian Seafood Council has purchased the service "Europanel" over several years. The service offers figures showing private households' procurement of seafood in the selected market. The figures are collected via household panels operated by Worldpanel by Numerator and YouGov, while the service itself is offered by Numerator UK Ltd. The figures include the purchase of the entire seafood category and underlying products for the following markets: Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, China and South Korea. The figures include variables such as value and volume, but also penetration, frequency and other important parameters that allow the Norwegian Seafood Council to follow the changes in European consumers' buying habits. In addition, the panels include information on household demographic composition. The Norwegian Seafood Council intends to renew the contract with Numerator UK Ltd for the next three years, with an option to renew for an additional 2 years.
