Norway – Laboratory, optical and precision equipments (excl. glasses) – Notice of Intent: NGS for The Hospital in Vestfold HF

Sykehusinnkjøp HF intends, on behalf of Sykehuset i Vestfold HF, to enter an agreement with Life Technologies AS, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, for the procurement of a new NGS system. The procurement comprehends one (1) Ion Torrent Genexus Dx system which includes a Genexus Dx Purification system (nucleic acid extraction module) and Genexus Dx Integrated Sequencer, as well as a framework agreement for equipment dependent consumables, and an optional service agreement for the NGS system. The NGS system shall offer a very high degree of automation, be CE-IVD marked, be able to operate in both IVD and RUO modes and include smaller and larger gene panels. A market survey was carried out through a Prior Information Notice published on 28 August 2025 with a response deadline of 7 September 2025. The contracting authority sought input from relevant suppliers who believed they could deliver solutions that met the outlined needs. The market survey did not identify any other suppliers of comparable NGS systems capable of meeting the requirements of this procurement. Thus, the conditions set out in Section 13-4, letter b, point 2 of the Public Procurement Regulations (FOA) are considered fulfilled.
