Switzerland – Lasers – Laser for pump-probe spectroscopy at SLS 2.0
Tender Description
This is a call for tender for a laser system which will be utilized at the Swiss Light Source 2.0 (SLS 2.0) synchrotron for pump-probe experiments at two distinct beamlines, SuperXAS and Phoenix. These experiments, conducted within the same building, require the laser to be mobile between the two beamlines. For pump-probe spectroscopy, the laser is to provide tunable wavelengths spanning the ultraviolet (UV) to near-infrared (near-IR) range. The laser pulse duration needs to be shorter than the X-ray pulses, thus requiring pulses in the tens of picoseconds (ps) or shorter timescale regime. Efficient excitation of the studied materials necessitates a high repetition rate in the range 40-131 kHz combined with a high pulse energy.
