Ireland – Surface work for roads – MEATH CO CO–MH–TRA-25-06 – R147 MARTHA’S BRIDGE TO CIRCULAR ROAD CYCLE/PEDESTRIAN SCHEME

The proposed development will constitute of a new two-way cycle track along the R147, moving from the eastern side of the road to the western side near Swan Lane. Key features include construction of cycle tracks that are segregated from traffic, improving footpaths, upgrading junctions for better pedestrian and cyclist access, and landscaping works at the 5th Province area to improve the gateway to the time. There will also be enhancements to bus stops along the route. The overall scope of the project includes various civil works necessary to implement the final proposals, inclusive of but not limited to; Site Clearance Construction of drainage and restoration of existing sewers Diversions of utilities including Eir and ESB infrastructure Construction of CCTV Infrastructure and Traffic Signals. Construction of Public Lighting. Construction of Traffic Signage Installation of Road Markings Construction of paving for footways and cycleways Construction of kerbing and new road pavement. Widening of the structure crossing Swan River Installation of retaining wall structures Hard and Soft Landscaping including 1-year maintenance of same.
