Iceland – Civil engineering consultancy services – Fljota tunnel and adjacent roads, design

The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration are requesting offers for the preliminary and detailed design of the Fljota tunnel, adjacent roads, and the preparation of an environmental impact assessment. The project includes, among other things, the design of roads, two bridges, a roundabout, a rest area, pathways, landscaping, and the design of at least one underpass for pedestrians, cyclists, and equestrian traffic. Adaptation of existing connections and access roads to the newly constructed road is also part of the project. Qualification and price decides the choice and the tenderer must send his bid in two parts, i.e. (1) information on bidder eligibility, (2) and price bidding. The work must be completed in full on November 20th, 2026. Tender will be opened in two stages 16.12.2025 and 6.1.2026.
