Norway – Weighing machinery – Market dialogue - solution for weighing residual waste at recycling stations for Avfall Sør AS

Issued by Avfall Sør AS
Published on November 11, 2025

Tender Description

Avfall Sør would like to invite the market to a dialogue on the future solution for weighing residual waste at the recycling stations. The aim is to find a system with a high degree of automation/self-service, user friendliness and effective customer flow. It must take care of HSE considerations and be adapted to both the current and future needs for effective resource utilisation and sustainable operation. Avfall Sør has three recycling stations with high availability and access control. The residue waste is collected in large containers with compression; either closed compressor containers or open containers with rolling compressors. This can be changed, but a compressor system is wanted and protection from weather and wind. Key figures are given in the annex. We would like to charge for residual waste based on the weighted amount per customer, in order to comply with the polluter-payer principle and to ensure that sorting pays off. Avfall Sør has examined known systems in the market, but not found satisfactory systems. We would therefore like to have a dialogue with a tenderer who believes that they can offer this. The system must handle weighing and payment of residue waste in an efficient and user friendly way, without a requirement for dedicated manpower. Integration to established systems is not required, but we would like to present the possibilities. Tenderers are invited to submit a solution proposal with a description of relevant systems and price estimates, as well as a reference system. Deadline: 10.12.25, 16.00.Solution proposal can be sent in communication module in Mercell. Deadline for this: 03.12.25, 16:00.
