Ireland – General management consultancy services – Provision of a Sustainable Development Strategy

Waterways Ireland has identified delivery of 'Sustainable Development' as one of 6 strategic priorities within its 10-year plan - Reimagining Our Waterways (published 2023). It is committed to being at the forefront of Sustainable Development practices and decisions as the custodian of precious natural, built and cultural assets along the 1,100km waterways network. The appointed contractor will deliver a pioneering and transformational Sustainable Development Strategy Framework, including a high-level overarching Spatial Strategy, to inform sustainable development decision-making across the navigational network. Waterways Ireland’s overarching objective is that the Sustainable Development Strategy will direct optimisation of Social, Economic and Environmental wellbeing value through future development investments informed by a proprietary Value Measurement study.
