Finland – Construction work – The Renovation Project of Big Stage Refurbishment

Helsinki City Theatre will be renovating the big stage’s engineering equipment and mechanical systems (referred also as “Renovation” or “Repair Project”). The scope of the contract is the execution of the refurbishment, including the needed equipment and materials for the renovation (hereinafter referred to “Delivery”). Design and supervision of the Renovation is not in the scope of this procurement. Following refurbishment works are included to the Renovation. —Replacement of 33 No. powered counterweight assist hoists with new direct lift hoists including replanning of the grid and construction of a hoist mezzanine to accommodate the additional equipment and access for maintenance —Provision of 22 No. new moveable point hoists —Provision of a new cyclorama lighting hoist —Replacement of all variable speed drives across the overstage installations (102 axes) and understage installations (9 axes) —New control system including central server, control outlets and control desks —Strip out of all redundant mechanical and electrical equipment —Remedial works to grid floor More detailed description of the Repair Project can be found in the Invitation to Tender and in its annexes.
