Ireland – Land management services – Implementation of approved restoration plans for the demonstration of peatland restoration measures on circa. 63ha of blanket bog habitat at two locations near Ballycroy, Co. Mayo.

Background The successful tenderer will implement two approved restoration plans to demonstrate restoration on approximately 63ha of blanket bog habitat through various peatland restoration measures. The two sites are situated near to Ballycroy, Co Mayo in the Owenduff/ Nephin Complex SAC (000534) and SPA (004098). The site areas are as follows: Site 1. Claggan Mountain boardwalk, Co. Mayo 35ha Site 2. Bunmore, Co. Mayo 28ha Scope This project is being delivered in two phases. Phase 1 involved the preparation of a site specific peatland restoration plan. Phase 2 will be the implementation of the proposed measures as agreed by the Wild Nephin National Park and LIFE IP Wild Atlantic Nature detailed in the approved restoration plans. This proposal relates to Phase 2 of the project and will be delivered before 30th April 2026.
