Norway – Laboratory, optical and precision equipments (excl. glasses) – A fully automatic PCR system for detecting CT/NG for Helse Førde HF

1 instrument shall be procured for the Microbiological Department at Førde Central Hospital, which shall be used for PCR based amplification and detection of nucleic acids with hybridisation probes. The instrument shall be used for diagnosing the pathogenic bacteria Chlamydia trachomatis (chamydia) and Neisseria gonorrhoeae (gonorrhoeae), called CT/NG. The instrument will also function as backup for respiratory pathogenic bacteria and viruses. A framework agreement shall also be signed for instrument dependent consumables. CT/NG is a large volume analysis that must be continued on an automated, module based, fully integrated commercial platform. In this platform, pipetting robots, extractors and PCR instruments are connected with a middleware that ensures communication and transmission of sample data between the instruments in the system, as well as two-way communication with the laboratory data system.
