Belgium – Business services: law, marketing, consulting, recruitment, printing and security – Support to the dissemination and roll-out of the set of energy performance of building standards developed under EC Mandate M/480

The EPBD requires MS to apply a methodology for calculating the energy performance of buildings. The Commission gave a mandate (M/480) to CEN to elaborate and adopt a set of standards for a common methodology calculating the integrated energy performance of buildings. The EPBD also requires MS to report their national calculation methodology according to a number of identified standards (initially 5 standards in 2018 and 3 additional ones in the 2024 recast). More specifically the contract will: 1) support MS in the application of the CEN standards I their calculation methodology 2) support MS in the reporting of the calculation methodology according to the standards 3) analyse the reports from MS in order to evaluate the differences in the calculation methodology across MS 4) provide key recommendations to the Commission on policy to bring in more consistency to the calculation methodologies across the EU 5) support the general use of CEN standards in the construction industry
