Germany – Research and development services and related consultancy services – Project "Gnome"

"Gnome" is an open source component comprising several core libraries and tools that is used by millions of users worldwide, including in public institutions, organisations and companies. This project aims to conduct a systematic, comprehensive security assessment of the base library and its core functionalities, as well as other central applications and components of "Gnome". On this basis, a consolidated final report will be produced that will assess the systemic security issues identified during the project and their impact, and will provide concrete recommendations for the long-term, sustainable strengthening and improvement of Gnome's security and reliability in the public interest.
