INVITATION TO NEGOTIATE FOR A PUBLIC SERVICE CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION OF PUBLIC BUS SERVICES IN MULLINGAR Contract Band: 2 Region: Leinster This ITN has been issued by the Authority in connection with a competitive procurement for award of a contract being conducted in accordance with the negotiated procedure under the European Union (Award of Contracts by Utility Undertakings) Regulations 2016 (S.I. No. 286/2016) (the “Regulations”). This ITN is a Call-Off Competition arising from the Qualification System advertised by the Authority and published in the Official Journal of the European Union (“OJEU”) on 6th July 2023 with reference TED19-IRL/2023-000685. This ITN is being issued to those who have a) indicated that they wish to participate in tender processes for the Leinster region; and b) been allocated to Contract Band 2 (or a higher Contract Band). The proposed public bus passenger services are required to operate on two new routes in Mullingar, MU1 and MU2, as described below and shown on Figure 1. The services are required to operate at thirty-minute intervals in both directions on each route on every day of the year, except for Christmas Day. The expected term of the Contract will be from the date of commencement of the services for a period of three (3) years. The Authority has reserved an option to extend the Contract on giving written notice to the Operator to extend the contract by a period of up to two years (giving a total potential contract duration of five (5) years).
