Belgium – Railway engineering services – Locomotive fleet retrofit and engineering solutions for DAC (and ERTMS)

The outcome of this tender should deliver sufficient and complete information for installing full Digital Automatic Coupling (DAC) equipment on a locomotive type, consisting of couplers, e-couplers, data/ communication system and power auxiliary unit for providing energy across a DAC train. With this call for tenders the EU-Rail wants to shape a technological solution to apply the newly designed mechanical and electrical coupler, data systems and energy supply to existing (shunting) locomotive fleet.
