Netherlands – Unmanned underwater vehicles – Remotely operated and autonomous underwater vehicles (ROV/AUV) (underwater drones)

The Royal Netherlands Army and Navy needs 24 Remotely Operated Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (ROV-AUV's) Scope of the contract The objective of this scope is to outline the requirements and specifications for the purchase of three different types of Remote Operated Vehicles(ROV’s), training, documentation, spare parts to meet the specific need of our organization. Each of these ROV’s is serving for a different purpose and functionalities. The ROV will be divided in Basic, Intermediate and Advanced as described in ANNEX A Program of requirements and ANNEX B Technical requirements. The ANNEX A, B and the other annexes (except the draft agreement and pricing form, these documents will be shared in the award stage) will only be shared after signing a confidentiality agreement. The delivery of Remotely operated (autonomous) underwater vehicles as described in ANNEX A - PROGRAM OF REQUIREMENTS and ANNEX B - TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS. Lot 1 Basic (7) Lot 2 Intermediate (4) Lot 3 Advanced (13) The delivery of peripheral equipment, spare parts, components, tools and test equipment. The delivery of documentation, as specified in ANNEX A - PROGRAM OF REQUIREMENTS. The delivery of training materials and the provision of training as specified ANNEX A - PROGRAM OF REQUIREMENTS. Maintaining the drones on DLM and/or FLM level. The potential delivery of optional drones and parts as described in the draft agreement Example of tasks The Army has three units that are tasked for underwater operations and they have different diving capacity. The divers are trained to operate in all scenario's (Combat, Security, Peace Support Operations (PSO) and Peace Time Military Engagement (PME)). Some tasks: Deliberate Water Crossing (DWC) Bottom and shore reconnaissance Underwater demolition Counter-sabotage Uderwater infrastructures or salvage. The use of underwater Remotely Operated and Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (ROV-AUV) creates the opportunity to improve safety and increase dive operations capacity. It also add to create underwater situational awareness.
