Norway – Installation work of cooling equipment – Trandum cooling tower

A new cooling system shall be constructed for the four test cells in the engine test station at Trandum, as well as the existing supply air and exhaust fans in accordance with. the ventilation of the test cells shall be replaced. The system in the new facility shall fulfil the current requirements for environment and energy use, remove the risk of infection spreading from the plant, optimise predictability, and thereby safeguard the operational safety so that the user can carry out his assignment. The existing cooling tower shall be removed and replaced by a cooling system based on open wells (ground water), network water and dry coolers. The total cooling capacity is 3000 KW. The return water shall be returned to the ground water surface at Transjøen, but must be drained so that the temperature of the water is lowered for reasons of water environment, bio diversity, microorganisms, etc. before it is returned to the ground water. The construction will mainly be the demolition of cooling towers as well as the assembly of 3 simple superstructures for the extraction wells at Transjøen.
