One fully automatic DNA/RNA extractor shall be procured that uses spin column technology for the Department for Microbiology, the Life Science Building (Customer). The equipment shall have a kit for minimum both blood and faeces sample materials. The instrument shall be compatible with column based kits for purification of RNA and DNA from enzymatic reactions. Market surveys have been carried out and the contracting authority is not aware that there are other tenderers than Qiagen QiaCube Connect who can deliver equivalent equipment. QiaCube Connect from Qiagen is the only equipment that fulfils the customer ́s requirements for automation, extraction technology and sample materials in one and the same equipment.
