The purpose of this tender is to select the most suitable supplier to provide a comprehensive WAMS applications suite, including the associated data storage solutions and high-quality Phasor Data Concentrators (PDCs). TenneT’s business objectives aim to enhance the reliability, accuracy, and real-time monitoring of the Dutch transmission system by implementing an advanced Wide Area Monitoring System (WAMS). This system will enable the collection of Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) measurements across the grid, detect dynamic events, and identify grid stability issues early on, ensuring optimal operation and safety of the power system. A key component of this system is the integration of high-quality Phasor Data Concentrators (PDCs), which will process and aggregate the collected PMU data for further analysis.
