Ireland – School catering services – Provision of School Meals for Primary school Cuan na Gaillimhe CNS, Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB)

Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board is seeking tenders for the provision of school meals to Primary School, Cuan na Gaillimhe CNS under its remit. Cuan na Gaillimhe CNS, An Cimín Mór, Cappagh Road, Knocknacarra, Galway, H91 Y38E. There are no on-site preparation facilities in this school. All food will have to be prepared off premises. Student meals need to be individually packed and clearly labelled with the student’s name and class group and delivered to students in their respective classrooms at a time agreed with the school Principal. The packaging must allow the items to remain within appropriate temperature levels. A prompt and efficient service is required with food well presented. Clean up after service provision, including the collection of food waste and packaging from classroom areas, prior to the resumption of after lunch activities, is also expected. A high quality, flexible and responsive service is required combined with continuous improvement and innovation for the 182 days of the year in which the school operates. Funding is provided for School Meals (Local projects) Scheme through the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection. Funding is allocated on a school year basis and must be applied for each year. There is no automatic entitlement to funding and all applications are considered on the available budget for the Scheme. Whilst this competition is being run for a specific period it is entirely dependent on the aforementioned funding, and GRETB reserve the right to cancel the contract in the event that funding is no longer forthcoming.
