Norway – Dredging and pumping works – Husøy Fishing Port
Tender Description
The port of Husøy was last dredged in the 1980s and is currently too shallow to meet the needs of modern fishing vessels. The depth conditions pose a challenge for both the fishing fleet and the land industry. The Norwegian Coastal Administration has, therefore, been given the task of deepening the harbour basin to a depth of 8.3 metres, so that larger vessels can tarnish safely. The plan involves dredging both clean and polluted matter, which shall partly be used to expand the land area and establish new infrastructure for the fishing industry.
