Norway – Repair and maintenance services of electrical and mechanical building installations – Intention notice R01903 - Service and maintenance of Schneider UPS

This agreement shall cover the need for Service and maintenance of Schneider UPS. The agreement shall cover pouring Norway. The Norwegian Defence Estates Agency has had challenges with implementing procurements on framework agreements for servicing of Schneider UPS for existing facilities. The current situation is the same where the tenderer in principle has a monopoly for servicing of their own installations, making it very difficult to enter into a contract with others than the manufacturer of the UPSen. Based on this, the Norwegian Defence Estates Agency will enter into a contract with Schneider for service and maintenance of the Norwegian Defence Estates Agency's Schneider UPSer. It is therefore considered that this procurement goes under: §13-4.b.3, "The Contracting Authority can hold a procurement without a competition if; b. The procurement concerns services that only a specific supplier can provide because, 3. the tenderer has the sole right, including intellectual property rights»
