Switzerland – Particle accelerators – Large Vacuum chambers for the HIMB Beamline

As part of this project, vacuum chambers for the new HIMB beamline at the PSI proton facility are to be manufactured. The fabrication of vacuum chambers with dimensions exceeding 3 m in height, 1 m in width, and 2 m in length should include internal welding in order to ensure compatibility with vacuum performance requirements. After final machining of these large vacuum chambers, a specialized cleaning process must be applied to minimize the outgassing rate.
