Norway – Ultrasonic unit – Intention notice Ultrasound machine for horses

A premium ultrasound machine shall be procured with the accompanying probes for heart examinations at horses for Dyresykehuset-Hest (DSH), NMBU. The procurement is made pursuant to the Regulations § 13-4 (b) and it is because the ultrasound apparatuses must be able to be connected to the clinic ́s existing system and be able to carry out complete function analyses in EchoPAC (existing analysis tool). Only ultrasound apparatuses from GE can deliver a complete system for this. Other suppliers can be connected to the system, but then without full functionality for function analyses, as the apparatus from GE can. Only GE Vingmed Ultrasound AS can deliver a complete solution based on the needs of the NMBU Veterinary College and our assessment is that the conditions for holding a competition without a prior notice in accordance with the procurement regulations § 13-4 letter b no. 2 have been met.
