„OpenVPN“ is open source software that is used to establish a secure connection when using an unsecure network. OpenMLS is an implementation of the Message Layer Security (MLS) protocol, which enables secure end-to-end encryption in group communications. Within the scope of this project, holistic threat models for both systems are to be created, systematic code reviews carried out, detailed reports with targeted remedial measures written on this basis, and their implementation supported. These services contribute to the long-term security and reliability of critical digital infrastructures and thus directly serve the public interest.
