Netherlands – Ships and boats – Delivery of Littoral Assault Craft (LAC)

The Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) will be replacing its entire amphibious landing capability, also referred to as the Amphibious Toolbox, over the next 14 years. This includes the replacement of the surface connectors. The subject of this European Tender Procedure is the replacement of the Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel (LCVP) by the Littoral Assault Craft (LAC). The LAC will be deployed from motherships and carry embarked military forces to non-developed landing points at the coast. The LAC must therefore be able to reach a speed, fully loaded, of 25 knots and have a range of at least 250 nautical miles. The LAC will maintain in use at least 15 years after delivery.
