This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is issued to inform the market of a forthcoming procurement opportunity and to provide advance visibility to potential suppliers for the design and build of battery train charging infrastructure at Wicklow Station, County Wicklow. The project is one part of the Wicklow Rail Capacity Enhancement project and will support the operation of Iarnród Éireann/Irish Rail’s new Battery Electric Multiple Unit (BEMU) fleet operating on the east coastline. Iarnród Éireann-Irish Rail intends to initiate a procurement process in the near future for this Work Package 2 (Reference: 9548). This PIN is not a call for competition but serves to alert the market and facilitate early engagement.
