Ireland – Construction work – Strokestown Public Realm Enhancement Scheme

The site is located in Stokestown County Rosscommon and includes Bawn Stret, Church Street, parts of Elphin Street and parts of Bridge Street. The proposed works comprise of the following: - Urban Realm improvements including: - Changes to layouts at Bawn Street, Church Street, Elphin Street and Bridge Street - Changes to surface finishes of footpaths, new finishes include granite paving, exposed aggregate concrete paving - The removal of selected car park areas - The installation of public lighting - The installation of new regulatory and pedestrian signage as well as road markings - Changes in the road pavement, new surface courses - Excavation works and reinstatement of pavement layers. - The re-location of some underground services and utilities - Adjustments to existing drainage network and provision of new surface water drainage and rain gardens in Bawn Street - Landscaping
