„Processing“ is a free, open-source tool that teaches programming concepts through visualisation and interaction, serving as a platform for learning to code. As part of this project, the underlying technology of „Processing“ will be modernised in a targeted manner, the development environment will be systematically enhanced, and the tool's reach will be expanded to include professional and collaborative contexts. These research and development efforts contribute to maintaining the accessibility of „Processing“ as an open platform and thus to creating a resilient digital ecosystem that supports creativity and education in the long term.
