The subject of this tender is the purchase of a skid mounted pilot treatment plant based on the DAF technology (Dissolved Air Flotation) to be used to test the efficacy of this treatment technology on wastewaters generated by the cleaning of grease traps used in the catering and food manufacturing industries. These wastewaters are highly concentrated in fats, oils and greases and have a high concentration of suspended solids. This wastewater is carried by wastewater tankers (bowsers) and is currently being discharged into the sewer system. This pilot plant is meant to test the possibility of creating a dedicated drop off point for these wastewater tankers so to ensure that all such catering-related wastewaters are treated prior to discharge to the sewer system.
