Ireland – Security services – Provision of Security Shuttering Services for residential properties

Wicklow County Council are looking to establish a new framework for the provision of services related to Security Shuttering of properties by means of installation, maintenance and monitoring to prevent unauthorised access and to reduce the risk of vandalism, squatting, theft and danger to the public. Approximately 100/200 of these Council owned properties are vacated by tenants each year and any such vacated properties are termed ‘Relets’ and may be secured by means of metal screens to windows and doors, whilst various clearing and cleaning services are required to be performed by other parties to their interiors and exteriors prior to them being re-let. There will also be a need to have flexibility in the contract as Wicklow County Council operates five days per week with an after-hours emergency call out service. This Emergency Call-Out Service is operational 365 days a year.
