Norway – Oxygen – Framework agreement for the purchase of medical oxygen and owning oxygen bottles.

The Nursing Home Agency ́s residents need a continual supply of oxygen for events and for diagnoses such as COPD, heart failure etc. Based on the current framework agreement for the procurement of medical oxygen and the hire of oxygen bottles being exceeding the other economic limit before the contract period expires, the Agency for Nursing Homes sees that a new framework agreement is needed. For residents/patients receiving requisitioned oxygen from the specialist health service, see the treatment aids in the form of an oxygen concentrator. The procurement shall contribute to the long term home and health centre in Oslo municipality having a cost efficient framework agreement for the purchase of medical oxygen and the hire of oxygen bottles. Oxygen concentrators are also used in long-term homes and health centres beyond that which follows the patient by initiation of treatment in the specialist health service. Long term homes and health centres currently use mostly 3, 5 and 10 litres bottles in the oxygen treatment. The Agency for Nursing Homes shall enter into a framework agreement with one tenderer.
