Norway – Software package and information systems – Market survey (RFI): Electronic maternity journal in Helse Sør-Øst

Helse Sør-Øst c/o Sykehuspartner would like to gain better insight into existing and new technological systems in electronic maternity journals. The aim is to gather information on available systems, understand the market ́s capacity and gain insight into current and future systems connected to this area. The electronic maternity journal is used in the health service to document and follow-up information related to pregnancy, birth and childcare. The electronic maternity journal is currently in use at 8 health authorities in Helse Sør-Øst RHF. The system is closely integrated with the central electronic patient journal system (EPJ) and supports the entire patient pathway connected to pregnancy, birth and childcare. The system also meets the requirements for obligatory reports to national authorities, including the Medical Birth Register and The Norwegian Tax Administration.The current system serves approx. 3,500 users divided in 2,700 PCs and covers 8 health trusts and 18 maternity wards. Sykehusinnkjøp HF is carrying out the market survey on behalf of Sykehuspartner HF.
