Ireland – Foundation work for roads – Cork County Council - Regional and Local Roads - Falling Weight Deflectometer Survey and Report Services 2025

Cork County Council Regional and Local Road Design Office are seeking tenders for Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) Survey and Report Services for a number of locations throughout County Cork. The scope of the Works involves FWD Survey and Report on c. 90 No. road lengths yet to be listed in a Schedule. Total estimated length 95 Km. It is expected that the average length of the majority of the sites will be 1 km however it is expected that approximately 5 number sites will be greater than 2 kilometres in length, this is reflected in the pricing document. This total length is possibly subject to change by plus or minus 25 per cent. These locations will be spread throughout the County (i.e. the Municipal districts of West Cork, Bandon-Kinsale, Carrigaline, Cobh, East Cork, Fermoy, Kanturk-Mallow and Millstreet-Macroom). A map of the Municipal districts of Cork County is included in Appendix 1. The payment for extra or reduced road works will be made on a per site basis. The successful tenderer will be required to: • Act in the role of PSCS • Perform FWD Testing and Reporting (As specified)
