The Government of the Netherlands through the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and the Government of Indonesia through its Ministry of Public Works and Housing have a long-lasting cooperation on water which is secured in a Memorandum of Understanding on Water for 2022-2027. Within the framework of the MoU, the Joint Steering Committee in November 2023 approved to facilitate joint working groups (WGs) enhancing strategic dialogues resulting in (an outline for) a programmatic approach on the following themes: -WG 1: Integrated Water Resilience from North Java to enlighten other priority developments in Indonesia -WG 2: Lowland development and irrigation -WG 3: Knowledge exchange, capacity building and youth engagement This assignment is a follow-up of ‘Phase I: Setting the Scene for a coordinated vision for the greater Semarang region towards 2045’ and contributes to activities under WG 1 and 3 and aligns with the mutual ambitions of both GoI and GoN under the MoU Water. The Tendering Authority has estimated a total contract value for the initial contract period of EUR 400.000,- (exclusive of Dutch VAT and inclusive of all local foreign VAT, fees and other costs). For the optional extension (see paragraph 2.3) the Tendering Authority has estimated a maximum value of EUR 300.000,- (exclusive of Dutch VAT and inclusive of all local foreign VAT, fees and other costs). The maximum contract value is therefore EUR 700.000,-.
