Norway – Repair, maintenance and associated services related to railways and other equipment – Buffer Modification Class 7

The purpose of this procurement is to simulate and test a new solution involving replacing buffer inserts in the existing buffer houses with softer inserts. The goal is to reduce the average maximum force between the coaches. It also includes an option for accumulating a minimum of 70 and up to 251 of these new buffer inserts, in addition to overhauling the existing buffer houses on the Class 7 passenger coaches.
