Ireland – Construction work – HSE West Estates Construction - St. Anne’s Residential Care Centre, Clifden, Co Galway

The development will consist of the construction of a new 40-bed Residential Care Centre with a two storey support wing containing production kitchen, staff changing, family accommodation, plant rooms and circulation links to the existing Residential Care Centre (RCC) building. The existing RCC building is a protected structure and will be reconfigured to create a Day Care Centre, along with demolition of minor non protected ancillary structures, creating a gross floor area of 4,337m2 for the new facility on a site of 1.46Ha. External works in the form of new landscaped gardens, screened plant areas, electrical substation, 37 car parking spaces, new foul and surface water drainage installations, including SUDS measures, 38 bicycle parking spaces, new roads and paths, and flood mitigation measures incorporating the diversion of collapsed culvert to new watercourse with flood retention basins. The electrical substation, Uisce Éireann foul connection and some foul / storm drainage installations will not form part of the works as these will be completed as part of an advanced enabling works package.
