Norway – Research services – Dialogue meeting - Assignment sharing in municipal long term homes.

The Agency for Nursing Homes invites research environments with competence within health and care services, working life research, service innovation and including recruitment to a dialogue meeting. The Agency for Nursing Homes (SYE) has carried out a comprehensive assignment sharing project in the period 2024-2025, testing different models for alternative organisation and assignment sharing in municipal long-term homes. The experience shows that the new assignment sharing is feasible and provides measurable gains - provided that good manager anchoring, clear role descriptions, systematic training and local adaptations. In November 2024 Tåsenhjemmet opened with a new operational model where assignment specialisation and the establishment of a separate facility department are central. SYE wants follow-up research on the "Tåsen model", with the goal of documenting the effect and comparing with other modes of operation in Oslo municipality.
