The HSE is seeking the Delivery of an application, and provision of hosting and an ICT managed support service (SaaS) for a Central Terminology Service. Clinical terminologies and classifications are complex. Making them available to use in information systems can be multifaceted. There are a number of clinical terminologies and classifications used in Ireland and Internationally. A Central Terminology Service (CTS) provides an effective way of implementing and accessing terminologies, classifications and the HSE Data Dictionary including but not limited to SNOMED CT, LOINC, and Orphanet through technical standards such as Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), for all digital health systems.
