Spain – Construction work – Submarine interconnection Península – Baleares HVDC 250 kV

Construction of an underground-submarine link for DC operating voltage in a bipolar configuration with metallic return that will connect the future Converter Station of Fadrell (Castellon) and San Martí (Mallorca Island).The link will be composed of 2 HVDC ±250 kV cables and a Medium Voltage return cable, with a capacity of 2x200 MW. The length of the route is approximately 405 km long, (underground cables with total approximate route length of 15 km and submarine cables with total approximate route length of 390 km). Terrestrial civils works for underground cables and trenchless works for landing are excluded.
