Ireland – Architectural and related services – Appointment of a Conservation Architect-Led Integrated Design Team to the Courtyard Conservation and Visitor Reception Project at Oldbridge, Co. Meath

The project will deliver the following: • A sensitive and appropriate conservation and repair of the Farmyard Buildings Ensemble which incorporates the careful design of additional elements and interventions, introduced to increase the sustainability, comfort and environmental performance of the buildings and attendant spaces, as far as is practicable and in order to satisfy the Brief; • Protect, conserve and restore the historic farmyard building fabric and ensure compliance with fire, health and safety regulations; • Address accessibility issues; • Provide a visitor facility that is constructed with connectivity to and sympathetically in the immediate area of the farmyard buildings and courtyards which will be significantly important in the education of people of all ages about the Battle of the Boyne, which remains deeply culturally resonant for communities on the island of Ireland; and • Create a fit for purpose exhibition space, perhaps enclosing part of the courtyard, while retaining the historic character of the space.
