Netherlands – Laboratory, optical and precision equipments (excl. glasses) – Mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) platform
Tender Description
The University of Groningen (UG) is a leader in advanced biomedical research, with a strong focus on spatially resolved molecular analysis of human and animal tissues, cultured cells, and diverse biomaterials. A key component of this research is the ability to map the distribution of endogenous and exogenous biomolecules—including proteins, peptides, lipids, metabolites, glycans, and drugs—with high spatial resolution and molecular specificity. To support and expand this capability, UG seeks to acquire a state-of-the-art mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) platform. This instrument must enable label-free, high-resolution spatial mapping of a broad range of biomolecular species with minimal sample preparation. Integration of advanced ionization strategies, such as laser desorption/ionization and post-ionization technologies, is essential to ensure high sensitivity, particularly for low-abundance or poorly ionizing analytes.
