Ireland – Artificial fibres – Supply of Geotextile & Geogrid for Longford

You are hereby invited to submit a price for the Supply of Woven Geotextile and Geogrid for delivery to Mount Dillon Stores, Co Longford. Please see below: a) Specification – Appendix 1 b) Pricing Schedule – Appendix 2 The supplies comprise of Black Woven Geotextile. Mechanical properties with tensile strength of 50kN/m and CBR puncture strengths from 2 kN to 12 kN. 9,000 metres required – minimum 3m. wide Geogrid – 1,000 metres required in length. Minimum width of 3m. Grid size 36mm X 36mm The successful tenderer will be required to provide technical on-site advice in regard to the use of their product and build-up of aggregates. Delivery location will be Co. Longford. The Contracting Entity recognise that we have a responsibility to demonstrate sound environmental management, to promote sustainability and to prevent pollution. To that end we will expect the successful Tenderer(s) (and any sub-contractors) to have a programme in place that will manage and minimise the environmental impact of these services and will endeavour to implement best practice when practicable. This should include: • Promoting efficient energy management and utilisation; • Managing waste and recycling initiatives including disposal of obsolete items; • Monitoring water usage and encouraging water conservation; and Sustainable sourcing of products including the avoidance of harmful substances in product production.
