Bane NOR shall procure a turnkey contractor for the detailed engineering design services and construction of a functional double track between Marienborg and Lademoen. The contract consists of three sub projects in five different locations: Marienborg, Skansen, Trondheim S, Lademoen and Søndre Tilsving. The work is a part of Capacity Seeking Measures Trønderbanen (KTT), which aims to increase the frequency of train traffic on the Trøndelag Commuter Rail to two trains per hour.
