Finland – Shells – Preliminary market survey - 155mm munition with Semi-Active-Laser Terminal Homing

Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command (hereinafter referred to as “FDFLOGCOM”) wants to carry out a preliminary market survey of different 155 munition with Semi-Active-Laser Terminal Homing. Finnish Defence Forces (hereinafter referred to as “FDF”) has started to plan its’ future on the use of special munitions such as 155mm munition with Semi-Active-Laser Terminal Homing. However, the planning is in its’ early stages and the FDF has not planned an exact schedule to launch the possible procurement procedure. Planning the exact schedule requires to carry through this preliminary market survey in order to obtain the information needed for the planning. The FDF wants to gather information to evaluate compatibility with Finnish weapon systems and demonstration purposes. This preliminary market survey includes demo firing event which is planned to be held in Q4/2026. For the demo firing event the FDFLOGCOM will provide firing range with all the necessary target environment and infrastructure (static pinpoint targets) with safety arrangements, weapon, personnel for operating the weapon and firing the ammunitions with the weapon, Finnish bag charge, primers, Laser target designators, equipment to conduct demo firing measurements and demo firing reports that the FDFLOGCOM shall provide to the participant of the demo firing event. In addition, FDFLOGCOM shall grant limited rights to use the demo firing event as a reference. The participant of the demo firing event shall provide 155mm munition with Semi-Active-Laser Terminal Homing that the FDFLOGCOM has approved to the demo firing event and personnel to give technical support for preparation and conducting the demo firing No remuneration shall be paid for participation in the demo firing event or for making, submitting, or presenting an answer to this preliminary market survey, or participating in this preliminary market survey in any other way. The participant of the demo firing event shall cover itself any and all costs incurred by participating in this preliminary market survey and the demo firing event.
