Ireland – Mechanical and electrical engineering services – School Energy Pathfinder 2025 - Bundle 3 Design Team Procurement - WP1 Biomass Programme

Schools represent a significant opportunity for building energy works with the additional benefit of their high visibility in communities which has potential additional demonstrator and awareness value. The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland SEAI, and the Department of Education and Youth DEY have agreed to collaborate on the delivery of a Pathfinder Programme for the Education sector the 'Pathfinder'. The public sector target is to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 51 percent by 2030 and increase the improvement in energy efficiency in the public sector by 50 percent by 2030. The Cork Biomass Project is a part of the Pathfinder 2025 Programme which will target CO2 emission reduction and will assist the Department of Education and Youth to explore options and test various solutions.
