Ireland – Database services – Voluntary Ex Ante Transparency Notice (VEAT) for award of contract to An Post GeoDirectory for the provision of GeoDirectory address data.

Dublin City Council gives notice to invoke Article 32(2)(b) of Directive 2014/24/EU which states that the negotiated procedure without prior publication may be used where the works, supplies or services can only be supplied by a particular economic operator for the following reasons (iii) the protection of exclusive rights, including intellectual property rights. Dublin City Council intends to directly award a contract to An Post GeoDirectory for provision of Geodirectory address data used for the mobilisation of fire services resources to incidents and for pre-incident inspection plus post incident analysis of historic fires. Dublin City Council intends to award the contract for a period of one year with an option to renew on a year by year basis for no more than four years at a value of €45,000 per annum.
