Netherlands – Tomography devices – Marktconsultatie: 3D Bioluminescence / Fluorescence imager
Tender Description
The “PARticle Therapy REsearch Center (PARTREC)” imbedded in the Departments of Radiation Oncology and Biomedical Sciences and Technology of the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), is an internationally leading research center on the development and application of techniques and instruments for improving particle therapy and imaging in close collaboration with the existing radiobiology and translational research program of the Department of Radiation Oncology. PARTREC facilities for pre-clinical studies have been expanded to a state-of-the-art small animal irradiation room with the support of a KWF infrastructure grant (IMPACT). The PARTREC facility is located at the campus of the University Groningen a few kilometers away from the UMCG main building. The UMCG Department of Radiation Oncology has over 400 employees of which 9 scientists and 24 engineers are located at PARTREC. At the core of PARTREC a universal cyclotron (AGOR) is capable to deliver radiation beams of both light and heavy ions to the IMPACT irradiation room. Imaging is needed as follow-up to the irradiation of small animals by an imaging system to be located outside the beam line. For its pre-clinical research PARTREC needs an optical biological imager with high precision for irradiations performed in upright position. In order to get information on which imaging systems are currently available, we set out this market questionnaire.
